Ally McNiel

Ally McNiel, M.A., LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

EMDR Trained Therapist

ally@olivehousecounseling.com

Ally McNiel brings three years of experience working with children (10+), adolescents, adults, and families. She is passionate about building genuine connections with her clients, understanding their stories, and helping them identify goals that support their growth and potential. Ally enjoys working with the entire family system and is skilled in recognizing and breaking unhelpful patterns to support positive change for teens and children. She offers a non-judgmental, safe environment for her clients and provides compassionate guidance for parents navigating challenging seasons.

Ally believes that every individual is unique and that effective therapy requires a tailored, person-centered approach. She views people through a strengths-based lens—recognizing that people make mistakes, but those mistakes do not define them. With experience supporting clients through substance use, trauma, anger management, depression, anxiety, suicidality, school-related challenges, low self-esteem, and oppositional behaviors, Ally utilizes evidence-based therapeutic modalities to foster healing, growth, and resilience. Her goal as a therapist is to create a space where clients feel safe to be honest, vulnerable, and fully themselves. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, Ally works collaboratively with her clients to build skills, develop insight, and overcome stressors—ultimately helping them move toward meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Ally was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and now lives in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with her husband and their dog. She is an adventure seeker who loves spending time outdoors and is passionate about advocating for at-risk youth. She believes her own life experiences have equipped her to provide empathetic, effective therapy to individuals and families in need. Ally is excited to be part of the Olive House team and looks forward to walking alongside clients on their journey toward healing.
