Helen has been working in the mental health field for four years now, with almost a full year of clinical mental health experience in a private practice setting. She works to create a comforting and open space for people to better explore areas in their lives that they wish to see change, then working to explore ways to help you make those changes in a way that honors yourself and your journey.
Helen feels passionate about meeting you where you are now and working together to get to where you want to be. She feels committed to helping people find their path towards a better tomorrow whether that involves strengthening relationships, combating anxiety, building skills, or anything else that is standing in the way between you and your goals. She uses a person-first approach to applying skills from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) while integrating techniques from other behavioral therapies such as ACT and DBT to help guide clients to supporting themselves in their mental health journey. She strongly believes that every person has the ability to create meaningful, positive changes in their lives.
Helen was born in raised in Texas and lives in the DFW area with her husband, their dog, and their three cats. In her free time, Helen enjoys reading, binging TV shows, thrifting, and spending time with friends and family.
